This piece is a plaster statue that I cast from a silicone mold made from of a Roma Plastilina clay Kirby I made. Kirby is very special to me. I use video games to escape but also to connect with others who love them too. Kirby to me is bright and happy and determined. I chose the name for this piece because it is a mashup of the title of the games but also as a nod to my transfer to art from computer science. I left the safe and unfulfilling path to try to return the forgotten dreamland that is my art practice determined to make my life there.
